Wibli Wobli, a Welsh-medium nursery located in Newport, has received high praise following its first inspection by Estyn and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). The nursery has been celebrated for its well-structured and nurturing environment, achieving a “good” rating across all essential aspects of care and development.

In the recent inspection conducted in February 2026, Wibli Wobli's dedication to creating a happy and educational atmosphere was evident. The inspectors lauded the nursery for demonstrating "many strengths" and notably found no areas of non-compliance or significant weaknesses. Focus on Welsh Language and Play-Based Learning
One of the key highlights from the inspection was the nursery's emphasis on using Welsh as the primary language of care and learning. In response to the growing demand for Welsh-medium childcare, Wibli Wobli has also expanded, recently opening a second site in Roath, Cardiff, which caters to children up to the age of seven.
