A remarkable initiative in North Yorkshire is empowering young pupils to explore their creativity through the art of storytelling. Crime writer Rachael Blok is conducting immersive workshops called Wild Foundations CSI across six schools in Harrogate and Knaresborough. These workshops provide children with the unique opportunity to build characters, expand their imaginations, and craft their own narratives.

The Legacy of Curiosity and Creativity

The Wild Foundations programme, delivered in partnership with Harrogate International Festivals, aims to honor the legacy of Victor Wild of Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate. His son, Jonathan Wild, expressed that this initiative is a way to celebrate his father as a polymath who valued curiosity and creativity. He emphasizes that these workshops are designed to ignite similar passions in young participants, equipping them with tools to explore and grow through their storytelling abilities.

Targeted at children aged nine to twelve, the workshops are hosted at several local schools including Aspin Park Academy and Grove Road Community Primary.
