Two Exciting Days to Celebrate Our Canine Friends and Mental Health!
This summer, dog lovers in Hull are in for a treat as Hull & East Yorkshire Mind announces the expansion of their beloved Pups in the Park event, creating not one but two fantastic days of fun for both pets and their owners. Scheduled for July 11 at Pearson Park and August 16 at East Park, this initiative not only showcases the joy of our four-legged companions but also highlights their significant contribution to mental wellbeing.
Community and Togetherness
Pups in the Park is designed to be a warm and welcoming event that fosters community spirit. Visitors will be immersed in a vibrant atmosphere filled with fun dog show classes, including categories like the 'waggiest tail' and 'most appealing eyes,' as well as charity and craft stalls alongside family-friendly entertainment and food options. This celebration not only serves as an entertaining outing but also emphasizes the positive social connections that pets can help create.
Support for Mental Health
The event is deeply rooted in promoting mental health support, aiming to raise vital funds for local services. Lucy, the events manager, states, "Dogs play an important role in many people's lives... they can positively impact our mental wellbeing." With each ticket sold and every donation made, attendees contribute to the crucial work of Hull & East Yorkshire Mind, which helps thousands access mental health support each year.
Join the Celebration
With a nominal entry fee of £2 per dog for each class and £2 per adult attending, this is an affordable way to engage with the community while supporting a worthy cause. Whether you're entering your dog or simply enjoying the festivities, this event beckons everyone to come together, celebrate the joy of pets, and reinforce the invaluable support mental health services provide.
Mark your calendars and prepare for two unforgettable days filled with joy, love, and community spirit as Hull celebrates its canine companions and the positive effects they bring to our lives.
