In a remarkable turnaround, Bankfield Residential Care Home in Bury has achieved an upgraded rating of 'Good' following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC's positive assessment, published on June 9, comes after inspections conducted in March and April 2026, where the home received 'Good' ratings in all five key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. This commendation marks a significant improvement from its previous inadequate rating in December 2022.

Nikki Entwistle, the registered manager, expressed pride in the team's accomplishments, emphasizing that the success is a testament to the collaborative efforts of every staff member.
