The Hempolics Bring Sunshine Vibes with New EP Release

The London-based dub reggae group, The Hempolics, has unveiled their latest project, A Fistful of Covers, an exciting EP released on ZeeZee Records. The EP, which is already available on Bandcamp and will make its way to major streaming platforms on May 29, 2026, is a refreshing collection that showcases the band's unique interpretations of beloved tracks.

Celebrating Iconic Songs

A Fistful of Covers features the band’s innovative renditions of well-known songs, each infused with The Hempolics' distinct dub sound. The lead single, a reggae-influenced version of Sade's classic "No Ordinary Love," transforms the original into a cheerful, bass-heavy groove, complete with buoyant melodies and the energetic vibes characteristic of Rub-a-Dub reggae.

A Tribute to Influences

The EP honors the band's musical inspirations, with one standout track featuring a reimagined cover of Shuggie Otis’s “Aht Uh Mi Hed,” which combines a soulful, jazz-laden reggae rhythm with contemporary beats. Additionally, the band pays homage to their favorite New York collective, The Frightners, with "Nothing More To Say," which radiates an upbeat, summery feel, reinforced by vibrant horns and infectious energy.
