Tesco Celebrates Armed Forces Day with Free Breakfasts for Veterans

This Sunday, June 28, Tesco is stepping up to honor those who have served in the military by offering free breakfasts to serving personnel and veterans. This initiative is a part of Tesco's ongoing commitment to support the armed forces community, showcasing their dedication to recognizing the sacrifices made by these individuals.

A Gesture of Appreciation

The initiative allows veterans and active service members to enjoy a complimentary breakfast from a selection that includes The Breakfast, The Veggie Breakfast, The Vegan Breakfast, Sausage Bap, Egg Bap, Veggie Bap, or Bacon Bap. To take advantage of this generous offer, customers simply need to present their MOD90 identification card at The Café at Tesco.

Supporting the Armed Forces Community

According to Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK CEO, this offer not only provides a breakfast treat but is also a significant recognition of the dedication shown by those who serve in the military. He noted, “Everyone loves a free breakfast and it’s a nice way of thanking them for their service.”

Building Lasting Partnerships

Tesco's support goes beyond this one-day initiative. In 2025, the supermarket reaffirmed its dedication by re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant and launching a three-year partnership with Help for Heroes, aimed at assisting veterans and the broader community. This ongoing commitment highlights Tesco's proactive approach to employing veterans and supporting their transition back to civilian life.

The offer will be available in 335 Tesco stores across the UK, making it an easily accessible way for the supermarket to give back to those who have given so much. As Tesco continues to foster a positive relationship with the Armed Forces community, initiatives like this serve as a reminder of the importance of appreciation and support for our military heroes.
