New research from Pepper Money has unveiled encouraging news for tenants in England, revealing that a significant 74% express satisfaction with their renting experience. The study highlights that happiness levels among tenants remain consistently high across various regions. Among the findings, tenants in the South East and South West reported the greatest levels of contentment, indicating that regional factors may play a role in the overall renting experience.

Interestingly, the research indicates a strong correlation between landlord proximity and tenant satisfaction. Tenants whose landlords reside within 40 miles of their rental properties reported a happiness rate of 77%. In contrast, this figure drops to 71% for tenants whose landlords live more than 50 miles away. In a separate study, it was found that almost 70% of renters aspire to purchase their own home in the future, with 29% believing they will be financially ready to do so within the next three years.
