The introduction of new Pool Pods at Active Mid Devon’s swimming pools marks a significant leap forward in making swimming accessible to everyone. Installed in February, these innovations are already transforming the way individuals with mobility challenges engage with water activities.

A Brilliant Solution for Independence

Designed specifically for individuals with reduced mobility or disabilities, the Pool Pod 3.0 is a fully automated pool lift that allows swimmers to enter and exit the pool safely at the touch of a button. This development not only enhances the safety of users but also facilitates greater independence and dignity for those who might have previously found swimming inaccessible.

The community's response to the Pool Pods has been overwhelmingly positive, with numerous testimonials praising the innovation. Many users have shared their joy in being able to swim again, highlighting the importance of such facilities in their lives. We hoped they would make our pools more accessible and help people feel confident getting back into the water, and it’s fantastic to see that happening.”
