LIVERPOOL Olympia has officially embraced a new era as it launched its Community Interest Company (CIC) status with an engaging open morning that captivated local schoolchildren. The event saw around 100 pupils from nearby New Park Primary and Whitefield Primary Schools visiting the historic West Derby Road venue, where they enjoyed a magic circus show hosted by local showman Mike Stuart. This initiative not only entertained the young audience but also ignited excitement for the arts in the community.

The open morning included special tours of the Grade II* listed Olympia, allowing invited guests and students to explore its storied past. They had the unique opportunity to visit the ancient underground Elephant Pit, which is currently undergoing restoration. Guests were also treated to a film showcasing the Olympia’s impressive 121-year history, featuring iconic personalities such as Elvis Costello and notable performances that have graced its stage.
