This collaboration, paired with volunteers and the State Emergency Service, ensures that vulnerable residents can access basic nutrition despite the overwhelming challenges they face.

In the city of Kharkiv, innovative solutions arise as social kitchens and 'warm hubs' are established to provide warmth and humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict. Josie O'Reilly, CAFOD’s Ukraine Country Representative, expressed the critical need for ongoing support: "Our local partners in Ukraine are continuing to support people’s basic needs: warmth, shelter, food, or just someone to speak to." Contributions to the CAFOD Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal have already aided over 185,000 individuals, showcasing how global solidarity can lead to substantial change in the lives of those facing adversity.
