The Grade 5 rating was awarded following an unannounced inspection in March, during which inspectors highlighted the exceptional quality of care provided to residents.

Inspectors praised Alderwood House for both the quality of care and the supportive environment that fosters independence and confidence among residents. The home specializes in nursing care for adults with mental health challenges, promoting active participation in daily living tasks and discussions centered on personal achievements, known as Recovery Stars.

Laura McNicol, the care home manager, expressed immense pride in her team's dedication and compassion.
