This prestigious ranking, compiled by Great Place To Work, highlights organizations that prioritize employee satisfaction and engagement, a testament to the ongoing commitment these companies make towards their workforce.

Among the standout firms is Home Group, a housing association headquartered in Newcastle, which earned the remarkable position of 17th in the 'super large' category. With an astonishing 80% of its employees declaring it a great place to work, Home Group has consistently ranked high in this survey, showcasing its dedication to employee inclusion and feedback. Vicki Carruthers, the director of people at Home Group, emphasized the significance of valuing employee insights in developing a supportive workplace culture.

Another major player, Northumbrian Water, has been recognized for the sixth consecutive year, ranking 28th in the super large category. With 90% of their workforce actively providing feedback, the company prides itself on fostering an inclusive culture through its Together for Inclusion, Diversity & Equity strategy. Elouise Leonard-Cross, the group people director, highlighted that this achievement is a reflection of the passion and commitment from their employees.
Innovative Approach to Workplaces
Atom, the UK’s first digital-only bank, has also made its mark by securing the 31st position in the large workplace rankings. Their successful transition to Newcastle city centre, coupled with an impressive 88% employee satisfaction rate, reflects their commitment to creating a thriving environment for their workforce. Helen Wilson, Chief Operations Officer, expressed pride in their entry on the list which validates their efforts in ensuring the workplace remains dynamic and supportive.

Other notable mentions include tech firm TSG and housing association Gentoo, reinforcing the region's commitment to a positive workplace environment. TSG’s CEO, Rory McKeand, shared that being recognized signifies the collective effort to create a supportive atmosphere for employees.
