Olivia Grant: A Beacon of Hope in Stratherrick and Foyers

At just 23, Olivia Grant has emerged as a vital force in Stratherrick and Foyers, where her work as the community services coordinator for Boleskine Community Care has garnered her a nomination for Community Champion of the Year. Her leadership in the community acquisition project for Foyers Village Stores, alongside securing over £356,000 from the Scottish Land Fund, showcases her commitment to bolstering local services.

"It feels amazing to be recognised locally for what we’re doing," Olivia stated, reflecting her gratitude towards the community's support. Her initiatives have expanded health clinics, wellbeing services, and even established the area's first Community Larder. Olivia is not just changing services; she is cultivating a familial atmosphere: "Every day feels like a big family."

Kats Macleod: Empowering Youth Through Service

Kats Macleod, a youth support officer and the founder of Kats Second Editions, has dedicated five years to uplifting families in her community. By collecting and distributing essential items, her charity has supported over 700 children from 522 families just last year alone. "I want the pupils to get the best opportunities possible and I love helping them; it’s my dream job," Kats shared, emphasizing her commitment to youth empowerment. The outreach of Kats Second Editions has even attracted donations from across the UK, solidifying her charitable efforts in the Highlands.
