Local Primary School Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted Report!
Bedmond Academy is in high spirits following a recent inspection by Ofsted, which confirmed that the school is operating at the expected standard across all seven assessed categories. This positive outcome reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence and comprehensive support for its pupils.
A Testament to Dedication
Headteacher Lora Grant expressed her pride in the report, noting that the inspection highlights the quality of teaching and learning at Bedmond Academy. "Achieving the expected standard in all areas reflects the continued dedication and commitment of our whole school community," she said. This is the school's first inspection under the new Ofsted framework since it was rated "good" in 2022.
Positive Environment and Strong Community
The report highlighted the commendable behavior of pupils, with inspectors noting that they "behave well and are polite and respectful." Additionally, it was observed that “pupils of all ages play together harmoniously,” showcasing a supportive and inclusive environment.
Innovative Curriculum and Individual Care
Under the Aspire Academies Trust, Bedmond Academy has introduced a new curriculum aimed at enhancing individualized learning. Karen Cohen, the executive principal, praised the hard work of Lora and the staff in crafting this curriculum that not only caters to the educational needs of each child but also fosters a culture of safety and growth.
The report further noted that the development of teaching methods has positively impacted pupils’ achievements, enabling them to apply their knowledge effectively across various contexts. Even pupils with special educational needs and disadvantaged backgrounds are reportedly making substantial progress.
