The whole community witnessed an extraordinary display of courage after Phyllis’ daughter, Suzanne Wright, received a doorbell notification that alerted her to the raging fire at her mother's home.

Phyllis, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was in grave danger as flames engulfed her home. Fortunately, alert neighbors spotted the fire and swiftly took action. Suzanne, five miles away, initially feared the commotion she observed through her doorbell camera could be troublemakers. However, as she used the intercom to communicate, she realized her neighbors were there to save her mother.

Among those who rushed to help were Pav Sarpal, 28, and Stephan Smart, 44. With smoke billowing from the house, these neighbors did not hesitate to enter the flames to retrieve Phyllis.
