The closure of Okehampton Crescent for traffic allowed families to come together and enjoy the day, with resident Clare Dickinson emphasizing the importance of including all ages in the festivities. “It’s great to get everyone out and enjoying the day,” she stated, highlighting the essence of community spirit.

Similar celebrations unfolded in Mornington Road, where Sheila Houghton and George Bennett initiated a street party inspired by earlier successful events during the pandemic and royal celebrations.
