Bankfield Residential Care Home in Bury has recently celebrated a significant achievement, successfully upgrading its Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating from inadequate to good. According to a report published by the CQC on June 9, the care home received "good" ratings in all five key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. Nikki Entwistle, the registered manager, expressed immense pride in the team's accomplishments and reiterated that the residents remain at the core of their mission. Bankfield Residential Care Home was taken over by Abbendon Healthcare Ltd in August 2023, marking a new chapter in its journey towards improvement. The new management has implemented various measures, focusing on enhancing staff training, care planning, governance, and quality assurance. Jaison Joseph, the director, acknowledged the support of residents and their families throughout the improvement process, attributing much of the home's success to their trust and encouragement.
