Liverpool Olympia Unveils Exciting New Chapter for Community Engagement
Liverpool's historic Olympia has officially launched its new Community Interest Company (CIC) status with an enchanting open morning dedicated to local schoolchildren. Approximately 100 pupils from nearby New Park and Whitefield Primary Schools were treated to a captivating circus magic show led by local showman Mike Stuart. This event not only delighted the young audience but also offered them a unique entry into the rich history of the venue.
A Historic Venue Reimagined
The open morning provided a glimpse into the Grade II* listed building, which included special tours featuring the original underground 'Elephant Pit' that has undergone significant restoration. Invited guests were also able to enjoy a film that charted Olympia’s remarkable 121-year history, showcasing its evolution from a circus and variety theatre to a vibrant cultural hub.

The newly formed Liverpool Olympia CIC aims to create opportunities for local residents by providing access to arts, education, and empowerment programs.
