Lanier County Softball Team Celebrates Historic Championship Achievement
In a heartwarming ceremony, the Lanier County Lady Bulldogs softball program recently celebrated their remarkable success by receiving state championship rings, a testament to their hard work and dedication. This momentous occasion marked their second state title in just three years, underlining the team's commitment to excellence in the sport.

During the pregame ceremony, players expressed their joy and pride in wearing the championship rings. “Oh, I love them,” exclaimed player Molley Newbern. “They’re big. They’re gold. I love it. Getting our rings makes me realize it’s really over, but I’m just so glad we got to win it together.” This statement encapsulates the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork that has defined the Lady Bulldogs' journey.
A Coach's Pride
Head coach Aniston Gano also shared her pride in the team's achievements, reflecting on their journey and the standards they have set for Lanier County athletics. “They’ve done it multiple times. I have had the privilege of doing it once, so I’m super proud of them and I hope their hands aren’t too heavy,” Gano remarked, highlighting the significance of their achievement in the community.
