The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, aptly named "Read to the Beat," will launch on July 4 and continue until September 12, encouraging children to embark on a unique musical adventure through reading.

The Reading Agency, alongside local libraries and funded by Arts Council England, is celebrating its 27th year of this enriching program. In 2025 alone, over 11 million books were borrowed as part of the challenge, illustrating its tremendous impact on fostering a reading culture among children.
