This past June, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. proudly hosted the winners of the inaugural Samsung Solve for Tomorrow European Competition, inviting twelve exceptional students to experience a unique three-day trip in Korea. This visit not only showcased innovative achievements in STEM but also immersed these young minds in the rich cultural tapestry of South Korea.

The winners, representing five teams from ten finalists in Milan, had the opportunity to explore Samsung's innovation ecosystem. They visited the prestigious Samsung Innovation Museum and the Samsung R&D Campus, where they engaged directly with Samsung's design leadership through mentorship sessions led by Mauro Porcini, Chief Design Officer of Samsung Electronics.
Connecting Culture and Technology
During their stay, the students delved into Korean culture, visiting Seoul's iconic landmarks and savoring traditional cuisine. This holistic experience underlined the synergy between cultural appreciation and technological innovation, as described by Raye Ryong Woon and Sarah Xie from the UK's Team CuraStep, who expressed gratitude for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness how ideas are transformed into reality at Samsung.
