Non-Profits Take the Stage on LYNX Public Service Bus

The First Nature Foundation of St. Cloud and Victoria Helping Veterans of Kissimmee are among eight non-profit agencies set to be featured on the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) 2026–27 Public Service Bus. Selected through a random drawing, these organizations exemplify the importance of community support and outreach.

The First Nature Foundation offers transformative equine-assisted, nature-based leadership programs aimed at healing and resilience for individuals and communities facing trauma. Meanwhile, Victoria Helping Veterans provides critical assistance for veterans, including emergency housing, food, and support for mental health and reintegration into civilian life.

In a remarkable achievement for the healthcare sector, St. Cloud Hospital has once again been named one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work for 2026. This marks the fifth consecutive year that St. Cloud Hospital has received such recognition, underscoring its commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging workplace culture.

Colleen Harper, vice president of Human Resources at Orlando Health, stated, “This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture where team members feel valued, supported and proud of the work they do.” The selection process involved assessments and feedback from team members, highlighting the importance of workplace satisfaction and communication.

Rotary Club Celebrates Young Artists

The Rotary Club of Kissimmee West recently held a successful Virtual Art Contest, celebrating local young talent and raising funds for the Council on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program. This year’s contest showcased 336 pieces of art from local schools, and through community voting, raised an impressive $6,750 to support the program.

Winning artist Isabel Rosa from Michigan Avenue Elementary received special recognition for her artwork, garnering the most votes. Additionally, Best in Show Awards were presented to talented students across various grade levels, each receiving cash prizes for both their artistic achievements and contributions to their school art departments.
