A revolutionary government-funded initiative, Pathways off the Plateau, aims to support established tech businesses in South Yorkshire to break through growth barriers and achieve new heights of success. Delivered by Sheffield Digital and funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the program worked with 15 technology businesses over a three-month period. Aimed specifically at companies whose growth had plateaued, the initiative focused on helping founders identify operational barriers and develop sustainable growth plans.

Positive Feedback and Promising Expectations

Feedback from participants suggests that the program could deliver long-term economic value if implemented on a wider scale within the region's tech sector. Notably, 65% of businesses expect increased efficiency, while over half forecast higher turnover and improved visibility. Furthermore, more than a quarter of participants plan to introduce new innovations and expand their teams as a result of the program.
