Throughout the period from mid-May to the end of September, the River Stour underwent weekly monitoring to assess the levels of e-coli and intestinal enterococci. The River Stour Trust (RST) reported commendable results for the 2024 bathing season, maintaining a 'good' classification just shy of the top 'excellent' rating. This effort reflects the commitment of both the RST and local volunteers who actively engage in monitoring wildlife populations, offering a holistic view of the river's ecosystem health.

Collaboration with Anglian Water and Future Prospects

Trustee John Kemp expressed gratitude towards Anglian Water for their support, which has contributed positively to the river’s condition.
