Heroic Rescue: How a Good Samaritan Saved a Family from a Tragic Accident

In a remarkable act of bravery, a Good Samaritan stepped in to save a family during a terrifying incident when a mother suffered a seizure while driving with her three young children. Casey Curtis, the hero of this story, was traveling on Allapattah Road when he witnessed a vehicle speeding off the road and crashing into the bushes. Reacting without hesitation, he halted his car, called 911, and followed the tire marks to discover a Jeep flipped upside down and partially submerged in a canal.

Upon reaching the vehicle, Curtis found three young children, aged 8, 2, and just 4 months, trapped inside and crying for help. Without a moment to lose, he managed to get the children to safety on the bank before diving into the canal to rescue their mother, Shyenique Wilkins, who was desperately in need of assistance.

In a gut-wrenching moment, Curtis lifted Wilkins' head from the water and realized she was not breathing. Drawing upon his strength and composure, he performed rescue breaths, ultimately managing to revive her just as first responders arrived on the scene.
