Fundraiser in Prestwick: Local Woman's Inspiring Mission to Help Others

In an effort to make a positive impact in the community, Sherylann Thompson is set to host a vibrant 2000s themed fundraiser in Prestwick tomorrow night. This lively event aims to support two crucial local charities, South Ayrshire Women’s Aid and Megan’s Space, which have played a significant role in her life.

A Personal Journey of Healing and Inspiration

Sherylann, a finalist in the Miss GB Ayrshire pageant, has been a beneficiary of the services offered by these charities. She shared her journey, revealing how both organizations helped her navigate her trauma and connect with the support she needed. "I have been an attendee at Women’s Aid twice in my life, and they got me in touch with Megan’s Space, which provided me with a therapist skilled in my experiences,” Sherylann explained. Her story is one of resilience and growth, driving her to inspire others who have faced similar challenges.

Empowering Others Through Community Events

The fundraiser promises not just entertainment but also empowerment. Sherylann's previous events, such as a successful Galentines charity night, received overwhelmingly positive feedback, showcasing her commitment to uplifting the women in her community. "I created activities on the night to encourage all the women who attended to show themselves the same love that they show others," she said. This upcoming event will continue that mission, as attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the charities about their work and the critical role funds will play in their ongoing efforts.

Join the Cause

The 2000s themed charity night will take place at the Bellrock in Prestwick, starting at 6 PM. It is a chance for community members to come together, enjoy a nostalgic evening, and contribute to causes that are making a difference. Tickets are available through email at sherylann_@hotmail.co.uk. Each ticket purchased supports vital services and sends a message of hope and solidarity to those in need.

This event not only embodies Sherylann's personal healing journey but also represents a collective effort to foster support and kindness within the community. As she aims for the Miss GB grand final on June 27, she reminds us that every small effort counts in making a larger impact.
