Exciting New Opportunities for Adaptive Golf in Central Oregon!

Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS) is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 summer community golf season, which promises to deliver new events and expanded opportunities specifically designed for adaptive golf enthusiasts in Central Oregon. This initiative marks a significant stride towards inclusivity in sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities.

Kickoff Events to Celebrate the Season

The summer season will start off with an Adaptive Golf Community Clinic on May 28, followed by a Community Golf Kickoff BBQ on June 2. Both events will take place at the picturesque Sunriver Resort Meadows Golf Course. These events not only aim to enhance golfing skills but also to foster community connections among adaptive golf coaches, athletes, and supporters.

Strengthening Community Ties Through Golf

OAS is partnering with esteemed organizations including Sunriver Resort, the US Adaptive Golf Alliance, and the Adaptive Golf Academy. This collaboration strengthens the efforts already underway to create a welcoming environment for adaptive golf participants, ensuring everyone has access to this enriching outdoor activity. Interested community members are encouraged to register online to participate in the clinic, which will focus on skill-building and making golfing accessible.

A Summer Full of Fun and Engagement

The adaptive golf programming at Sunriver is designed not only for those with disabilities but is also open to everyone in the community, emphasizing the spirit of togetherness. The upcoming BBQ event is free for all attendees, marking the beginning of a thrilling summer with a series of community golf sessions scheduled for June 30, July 28, August 25, and September 22.

OAS's commitment to creating inclusive recreational opportunities shines through these initiatives, reflecting a broader dedication to community spirit and engagement. The introduction of adaptive golf carts and a welcoming atmosphere encourages participation from all individuals, regardless of their physical challenges.
