Exciting Musical Showcases Await at Rochdale Feel Good Festival!

This summer, Rochdale is set to witness the rise of local musical talent as two new bands, K-ESTATE and Metro, have been selected to perform at the renowned Rochdale Feel Good Festival. This event promises not just great music, but also a celebration of the rich creative spirit within the community.

K-ESTATE: A Modern Musical Delight

K-ESTATE, a vibrant four-piece band from Middleton, is making their festival debut and is already generating buzz with their unique blend of house-pop, funk, and indie disco sounds. Formed just last year, the group has quickly made a name for themselves, sharing stages with notable acts such as Inspiral Carpets. Their music combines euphoria with groove-driven beats, a perfect fit for the festival atmosphere, and they have a packed performance schedule ahead, including shows at Kendal Calling and Lakefest.

Metro: Rising Stars of Rock

Joining K-ESTATE on the festival's main stage is Metro, a five-piece rock band that has rapidly gained traction since their inception in 2025. They recently made it to the finals of the Greater Manchester and Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub Battle of the Bands Competition, showcasing their dynamic sound influenced by legendary rock acts like Foo Fighters and Deftones. With recording sessions planned for September, Metro is well on their way to carving out their identity in the music scene.

A Festival to Remember

The Rochdale Feel Good Festival will feature not only these formidable local talents but also headline performances from iconic artists such as Gabrielle, Ash, and Starsailor, along with the energetic sounds of The Allergies and Alex Spencer. The event will also include diverse entertainment options, including a food and drink village, making it a celebration of the local community and culture.

Cllr Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation, expressed pride in the local musical talent, emphasizing the festival's role in showcasing and supporting emerging artists. This vibrant festival serves as an essential platform for artists to reach broader audiences and contributes to the cultural tapestry of Rochdale.
