Exciting Expansion at Heanor Park Care Home to Meet Growing Demand

Heanor Park Care Home in Derbyshire is set to enhance its facilities significantly to meet the increasing demand for specialist care services. The Amber Valley Borough Council has granted planning permission for the care home to add seven new en-suite bedrooms, taking the total number of rooms to 62. This expansion comes as part of a strategic move to accommodate the rising needs of the community for quality care.

A Community-Driven Approach

The planning application highlighted not just the need for more residential spaces but also addressed the increasing staffing levels required to support the operations of seven care facilities across Derbyshire. With the expansion, Heanor Park Care Home will transition office staff to a more suitable purpose-built facility in Alfreton, which allows for a more harmonious living environment for residents and enhances operational efficiency.

Modern Amenities for Enhanced Care

The new en-suite bedrooms will feature walk-in wet rooms, promoting accessibility and comfort for residents. Additionally, the care home boasts a variety of amenities, including lounges, dining areas, a spa, salon, cinema, library, family room, tea room, and beautifully landscaped gardens, ensuring a holistic and enriching environment for all who reside there.

Inclusivity in Care

Heanor Park Care Home is committed to inclusivity, catering specifically to British Sign Language users, thereby making its services accessible to a wider population. While transitioning some staff to a different location, the care home will also increase its part-time workforce from 31 to 39, creating more job opportunities within the community.

This expansion not only signifies growth for Heanor Park Care Home but also underscores a broader commitment to enhancing care standards and responsiveness to community needs. As the facility evolves, it promises to maintain its reputation for high-quality care and support for its residents.
