Exciting Community Festival Set to Boost Wellbeing in Exeter!

The city of Exeter is abuzz with anticipation as the Feel Good Festival, focused on promoting health and wellbeing, prepares to kick off on Saturday, May 16. Hosted at the Wonford Community and Learning Centre and Wonford Playing Fields, this event promises a day filled with fun, activities, and valuable resources for residents of all ages.

A Free Event for Everyone

Thanks to the generous £900 grant from Exeter City Council, the festival is free to all attendees, making it accessible for everyone in the community. Organised by the community group Wonford Health Matters, the festival is set to run from 11 am to 2 pm and offers a variety of activities aimed at enhancing physical and mental wellbeing.

Wellbeing Activities Galore

Festival-goers can look forward to an array of activities designed to promote the five ways to wellbeing: connect, keep active, learn/create, give, and take notice. Engaging taster sessions, demonstrations, and information will be provided by various local groups and services to help participants foster healthier lifestyles.

Fun for All Ages

Children and adults alike can enjoy activities such as face painting, a bouncy castle, and football sessions run by the City Community Trust. Additionally, there will be performances showcasing local talent in dance and singing, as well as creative workshops like the Double Elephant Print Workshop, allowing attendees to explore their artistic sides.

Connecting with Nature and Each Other

The festival not only emphasizes physical activities but also encourages connection with others and nature. Attendees will gain insights on how to maintain their health and wellbeing while learning about the importance of community engagement.

For those interested in participating, further details of the program can be found on the Wonford Community and Learning Centre website. This event reflects the spirit of community support and is a fantastic opportunity for all to come together and prioritize their wellbeing.
