Exciting Community Event to Boost Wellbeing in Exeter!
A Feel Good Festival is on the horizon, designed to uplift the spirits of the Exeter community. On May 16th, residents will have the chance to engage in various activities promoting health and happiness at the Wonford Community and Learning Centre, alongside the Wonford Playing Fields.
What to Expect at the Festival
The festival, organized by Wonford Health Matters in collaboration with the Wonford Community and Learning Centre, will feature a variety of free activities suitable for all ages. Attendees can explore guided walks, join exercise classes, and enjoy complementary therapies. All these offerings aim to foster a sense of community and well-being.
Support from the City Council
Thanks to a £900 grant from the Exeter City Council, the Feel Good Festival is set to deliver a wealth of enriching experiences at no cost to participants. The initiative emphasizes the five ways to wellbeing: connect, keep active, learn/create, give, and take notice. Organizers assure that the event will be engaging and positive for everyone involved.
Fun Activities Await
Festival-goers can look forward to a range of entertainment options, including free food and refreshments, face painting, a bouncy castle, and exciting football sessions with the City Community Trust. Participants will also have the opportunity to try new sports, watch dance and singing performances, and even participate in a Double Elephant Print Workshop.
A Focus on Connection and Wellbeing
In addition to the fun activities, the festival will provide valuable information on connecting with others and fostering a deeper relationship with nature. Attendees will leave with insights on how to enhance their well-being and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The Feel Good Festival represents a wonderful opportunity for the Exeter community to come together, celebrate, and prioritize health and happiness in a supportive environment. Don’t miss out on this vibrant gathering!
