Excitement Builds for the Upcoming Nantwich Youth Arts Festival
The Nantwich Youth Arts Festival is just around the corner, set to take place on the weekend of July 4th and 5th. Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, this year's festival promises a diverse array of creative experiences for children, young people, and families, making art accessible to all ages from 3 to 103.
A Weekend Full of Enriching Activities
Local officials are enthusiastic about the lineup of events designed to engage and inspire attendees. Nantwich Town Mayor Cllr Kim Jamson has highlighted a special outdoor cinema screening of the beloved film "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" at Brookfield Park as a standout attraction. She expressed her eagerness to enjoy this feel-good movie with residents under the stars.
Supporting Young Talent
Deputy Mayor Cllr John Priest is equally excited, particularly about the performance of the Lowe Ensemble at St Mary’s Church on Saturday evening. He emphasized the importance of celebrating young talent and noted the dedication of these exceptional performers, encouraging the community to come out and enjoy a memorable night of music while supporting budding artists. With ticket prices at just £7, or £12 for two, the event is not only enriching but also affordable.
Interactive Dance and Creative Workshops
On Sunday, dance enthusiasts can look forward to a special interactive session with AJ and Curtis Pritchard, followed by a meet-and-greet. Additionally, the festival offers a wide variety of workshops—most priced at an economical £3.50—covering everything from drama and special effects makeup to storytelling and crafting. Some events are even free, making the festival an inviting opportunity for all to participate in the arts.
Don't Miss Out!
While some events have already sold out, there are still places available for a range of workshops tailored for both kids and adults. To explore the full programme, check workshop details, and secure tickets, visit the Nantwich Town Council website or contact the Box Office directly. The festival not only highlights local talent but also fosters a sense of community through arts and creativity.
