Discover Wellness and Hope at the Upcoming Outdoor Festival

An exciting outdoor wellbeing festival is poised to inspire the local community through a day filled with music, learning, and uplifting experiences. The event, initiated by GP Claire Milton from Knutsford and Northwich teacher Vic Massey, aims to raise awareness about brain health while raising funds for Alzheimer’s research.

Creating Conversations Around Brain Health

This festival is particularly meaningful for Claire and Vic, both of whom have been touched by Alzheimer’s in their families. While Claire cares for her mother, Vic tragically lost her mother, Margaret, to early-onset dementia. Their collective experiences have motivated them to initiate conversations about brain health and the strategies that can support it.

An Inclusive Celebration of Wellbeing

The Health Edit festival will unfold at Booths Park in Knutsford on September 19, featuring a blend of local fitness instructors, wellbeing practitioners, expert speakers, and musicians. This family-friendly event will offer an array of activities designed to promote relaxation, learning, and connection amongst attendees.

Engaging Activities and Expert Insights

The day's agenda is packed with engaging sessions, including sound baths, yoga, reiki, and discussions on various health topics such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep. Notably, Dr. Tommy Wood, author of "The Stimulated Mind," will join virtually to share insights on dementia prevention followed by a Q&A session. Such expert involvement highlights the event's commitment to providing evidence-based information and inclusive discussions around brain health.

Focus on Positive Lifestyle Changes

This festival shines a light on the power of small, positive lifestyle changes that can have lasting impacts on health and wellbeing. With a nurturing space reserved for adults in the morning and family sessions in the afternoon, attendees can recharge and rejuvenate through various immersive workshops and activities.

As evening approaches, the festival will culminate in a celebration featuring drinks and a DJ, ensuring that everyone can participate in a vibrant community atmosphere. Tickets for the event are currently available, promising an enriching experience for all who attend. For more details and booking information, visit the official event page.
