Discover the Joy of Community: Feel Good Festival Set to Uplift Exeter This May
Exeter is gearing up for an exciting community event that promises to inspire and uplift residents and families alike. The Feel Good Festival, organized by the local group Wonford Health Matters in collaboration with the Wonford Community and Learning Centre, will take place on Saturday, May 16, from 11am to 2pm at the Wonford Playing Fields.
A Celebration of Wellbeing and Connection
The festival aims to promote health and wellbeing within the community by offering engaging activities that align with five key aspects of wellness: connect, keep active, learn/create, give, and take notice. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with taster sessions, demonstrations, and information from various groups and services dedicated to supporting these themes.
Fun for All Ages
The Feel Good Festival is designed to cater to attendees of all ages, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the day. Thanks to a generous £900 Exeter Community grant from Exeter City Council, entry to the festival is free. Families can participate in a variety of activities including face painting, a bouncy castle, football sessions with the City Community Trust, and dance and singing performances. There will even be opportunities for creative expression through workshops like the Double Elephant Print Workshop.
Connecting with Nature and Each Other
Beyond the fun and games, the festival will also provide valuable resources on connecting with nature and others, emphasizing the importance of mental and physical well-being. Organizers emphasize that attendees will gain insights into how they can maintain their health and feel their best.
The community is encouraged to participate in this festive atmosphere, where connections can be made, and new experiences can be enjoyed. For more information and the full program of activities, residents can visit the Wonford Community and Learning Centre's website. This festival not only promises to bring joy but also fosters a sense of belonging and community spirit in Exeter.
