Discover the Joy of Community at Exeter's Feel Good Festival!
On May 16th, the city of Exeter is set to embrace wellness and community spirit with the upcoming Feel Good Festival, taking place at the Wonford Community and Learning Centre and Wonford Playing Fields from 11 am to 2 pm. This vibrant event promises to deliver a day filled with fun, health, and family activities, ensuring a positive experience for attendees of all ages.
Celebrating Health and Wellbeing
Organized by the community group Wonford Health Matters, the Feel Good Festival aims to promote the five fundamental ways to wellbeing: connecting, staying active, learning and creating, giving, and taking notice. With support from a £900 Exeter Community grant from Exeter City Council, the festival is free for everyone, making it a fantastic opportunity for families and individuals to engage in activities that enhance their well-being.
A Day Packed with Activities
Festival-goers can look forward to an array of free activities, including face painting, a bouncy castle, and football sessions courtesy of the City Community Trust. Attendees will also have the chance to try new sports, enjoy engaging dance and singing performances, and participate in creative workshops such as a Double Elephant Print Workshop. With so many options available, there is something for everyone!
Connecting with Nature and Each Other
Beyond the fun and games, the festival serves as a platform for individuals to learn how to connect with others and the natural environment. Participants will receive valuable advice on maintaining their health and well-being, fostering a sense of community and support in these challenging times.
The Feel Good Festival is a wonderful initiative that not only aims to uplift spirits but also encourages a supportive community ethos.
