The Novium Museum in Chichester is set to unveil a groundbreaking exhibition titled ChichestHER: Their Story, Our Inspiration, which aims to celebrate the remarkable lives and contributions of women connected to the district. Slated to open in October 2026, this exhibition is not just an event; it’s part of a two-year initiative backed by a significant grant of £117,266 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Amanda Rogan, the manager of The Novium Museum and Tourist Information Centre, expressed her enthusiasm for the exhibition, noting, "This exhibition will tell stories that deserve to be better known across Chichester district." This initiative does not merely aim to highlight these women’s achievements but also seeks to engage the community actively in its development, ensuring that the exhibition resonates with current residents.

As part of its commitment to community collaboration, the museum will be hosting a focus group on Friday, May 8, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. This is a unique opportunity for locals to share their insights and feedback on the exhibition’s content and design.
