One of the cafe's main goals is to allow the cats to live freely outside of cages while they await adoption. Burgess explained, “It gives the cats an opportunity to exist in this home-like setting outside of a cage while they are waiting to find their forever home.” This approach not only increases the chances of adoption but also serves as a therapeutic haven for visitors, who can experience the calming effects of spending time with cats.
