Celebrating Local Culinary Excellence

The Cornwall establishments in contention are among more than 250 pubs and bars shortlisted for the grand final. With 94 venues to be recognized as County Winners, in addition to the announcement of Regional Winners and the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year, the competition promises to highlight the best in British hospitality.

A Night of Honors

The awards night will also feature the Industry’s Choice Award, selected by a panel of 400 handpicked judges, as well as consumer-voted awards for Pub Group of the Year and Bar Group of the Year. This year’s event is anticipated to be grander and more engaging, reflecting the growth and enthusiasm within the industry.

Cornwall's Representations in the Spotlight

Among the favorites is an 18th-century pub located near St Austell, managed by chef Daniel Hyams. Celebrated for its exceptional food and welcoming environment, it boasts accolades such as the South West Gastro Pub of The Year for the 2024/25 period and a spot in the coveted Michelin Guide.

Also in the running is a pub between Truro and Newquay, opened by renowned chef Adam Handling, known for its sustainable British pub food and family-oriented atmosphere. It achieved recognition from the Michelin Guide merely five months after opening, further emphasizing its quality and appeal.

Additionally, an independent cocktail bar in Newquay, celebrated for its sustainability and praised by customers for its classy cocktails and excellent service, adds to Cornwall's vibrant representation at the awards.
