Dave Slaughter, who has dedicated 15 years to teaching at St Peter's R.C. High School, has found himself among the top 10 shortlisted nominees. "I've had to put together a portfolio and get testimonials from my students," he stated, reflecting on the positive feedback he received. "It’s been a rollercoaster."

Each nominee will receive a £500 cash prize for themselves and an additional £500 for their respective schools, enhancing the recognition of teachers in education. Furthermore, the awards ceremony, scheduled for June 20 at the iconic Tower of London, promises to be a prestigious event, presided over by historian and broadcaster Lucy Worsley.
