Celebrating Impact: Women Leaders Shine at SheInspires Launch
The inaugural SheInspires Impact Leaders’ event recently took place in Bolton, where influential women leaders were honored for their significant contributions to society. The event, held at the Marriott Worsley, celebrated around 60 women leaders from Bolton and beyond, recognizing their inspiration and impact on the community.
A Shift in Recognition
Gulnaz Brennan, the founder of SheInspires, emphasized the importance of transcending traditional definitions of leadership and success. During her speech, she articulated the need for a new perspective on impact, highlighting that the Impact Leaders List aims to acknowledge not just the leaders, but also the ways in which they lift others as they climb.
Honoring Meaningful Leadership
Unlike conventional achievement rankings, the Impact Leaders List is curated based on editorial consideration, and it reflects a transformative shift in recognizing influence that fosters growth for others, rather than individual accolades. Each honoree received bespoke black crystal plaques, a testament to their hard work and commitment to creating pathways for those they inspire.
Defining “Impact” Together
Attendees took part in a reflective exercise, sharing their interpretations of what “impact” meant to them. This initiative provided a powerful insight into modern leadership, demonstrating that true leadership is defined by purpose, action, and the legacy one leaves behind.
Supporting Future Generations
The event also featured a raffle that raised £410 for the Empower 50k Girls initiative, which focuses on advancing girls’ health, financial literacy, and self-worth locally and globally. This fundraising effort highlights the collaborative spirit that characterized the evening, emphasizing the need to invest in future generations of female leaders.
The SheInspires Impact Leaders’ event stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, showcasing the dynamic impact of women leaders in shaping communities for the better. It is a reminder of the potential that lies in collaboration and the importance of recognizing and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
