The charming town of Beverley is set to host a remarkable event, Bee Lady Day, inspired by the beloved local fundraiser Jean Bishop, affectionately known as the Bee Lady. This special occasion, organized in collaboration between the Flemingate shopping center and students from East Riding College, promises to bring the community together while supporting a noble cause.

Scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 10 am to 2 pm, Bee Lady Day is designed not only to celebrate the life and legacy of Jean Bishop but also to raise vital funds and awareness for Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire. The event is a culmination of efforts from East Riding College students, who sought to create a meaningful experience that honors a well-known figure while benefiting the local community.

Attendees can look forward to face painting and nail art from hair and beauty students, delectable themed cakes and treats made by catering students, and handmade items crafted by fashion students. Adding to the excitement, music students will provide live performances to entertain visitors throughout the day.
