The event, described as "an electrifying, feelgood event," showcased the incredible talents of students who came together to deliver a memorable performance over four nights.
An Ensemble of Talents
The musical featured a cast of 26 lead actors along with a 20-strong ensemble, all of whom brought their A-game to the stage. A Joyful Experience for Participants
Summer Shearing, a student who portrayed Pam in the Cake Cast, expressed her enthusiasm, stating that the show was "fun, energetic, and such an exciting experience." She highlighted the emotional significance of the performance, noting that it was a joyous occasion filled with camaraderie among her peers as this was her last communal performance at Brock.
Innovative Casting for a Fresh Experience
To keep the production engaging, the organizers implemented two separate casts— the Cake Cast and the Bread Cast—allowing for a dynamic experience that mirrored the journey of the contestants from the beloved television show. The musical intertwined uplifting personal stories, resilient friendships, and humorous elements, all while providing an engaging soundtrack.
A Collaborative Achievement
Moira Rock, the curriculum leader for performing arts, music, and dance, expressed pride in the students' collaborative efforts, stating, "This group has gone above and beyond to make this show an electrifying, feelgood event with a very positive message." The chemistry among the performers created a delightful atmosphere that resonated with the audience.

Tickets for the event sold out in record time, indicating a strong community interest and support for the college's endeavors. Importantly, all profits from the show will be reinvested into Brockenhurst College's performing arts and music department, ensuring that future students will continue to benefit from such enriching experiences.
