Excitement with Every Arrival

Since the launch of the initiative, the care home has received 16 cards from various nations, including Portugal, Canada, Malaysia, and Thailand. Each letter has not only brought excitement to the residents but has also served as a unique lesson in geography as they track the arrival of these heartfelt messages on a world map displayed in the home. Residents eagerly pin the map as new destinations are added to their growing collection, sparking discussions and a sense of global connection.

Home manager Michelle Mackenzie noted the significant impact this project has had on enriching the lives of residents. “The residents are absolutely thrilled to see what cards arrive next and to learn about where the senders are from,” she said.
