In a remarkable display of achievement, Blackpool Pleasure Beach recently triumphed at the UK Theme Park Awards, garnering a total of eight prestigious accolades during the event held on September 10. This year's ceremony celebrated the best attractions and rides across the country, and Blackpool Pleasure Beach stood out among the competitors.

The awards ceremony took place at the Pleasure Beach itself, where a series of distinguished prizes were handed out to the finest theme parks in the UK. Among the notable winners, Paultons Park took home the most awards with 11, including the coveted title of Best Theme Park of the Year. However, Blackpool Pleasure Beach also made headlines with its commendable performance.
Celebrated Rides and Attractions
The Pleasure Beach's accolades included a gold award for Best Seaside Park and recognition for its innovative new ice show, "Alice Frozen in a Wonderland of Dreams," which took home a gold award in the Best New Entertainment category. Additionally, the park secured bronze in multiple categories, including Best Theme Park for Thrills and Best Value Theme Park.
Highlighting New Attractions
One of the standout features of this year’s awards was the highly anticipated ride, Aviktas, which debuted earlier this year. Marketed as the tallest gyro swing ride in the UK, Aviktas has captivated visitors with its thrilling ascent of 138 feet and sweeping arcs over the coastline. This ride, which cost an impressive £8.72 million to construct, not only thrilled guests but also earned silver awards in both the Best New Attraction and Best Marketing Campaign categories.
